About the Event

This fall, hop aboard India Express, ICC’s new cultural adventure series for kids ages 4 to 8! Sign up for one event at $40 per child, or subscribe to all three classes for $100 per child.


Learning to Love Indian Music

Raga Kids, a unique Brooklyn-based music class, invites children to explore the rich sounds of Indian Classical music through a vibrant and interactive musical experience. Led by violinists and Brooklyn Raga Massive musicians Trina Basu and Arun Ramamurthy, along with tabla artist Mir Naqibul Islam, Raga Kids offers a dynamic program that introduces the musical traditions of India through a regional lens. The program begins with an interactive workshop, where children will learn the fundamentals of Indian music, including tala (rhythmic cycles) and raga (melodic frameworks).
