My Story, Our Future Celebration and Exhibition Opening

ICC, Greenwich Historical Society, and UConn’s Asian and Asian American Studies Institute invite you to the opening reception of the fourth annual My Story, Our Future exhibition. This year’s cohort of ICC teens presents original oral histories, family artifacts, and a curated exhibition highlighting South Asian immigrant experiences. Since its launch in 2022, MSOF has documented nearly stories and has been recognized by statewide leaders for its contribution to state-mandated AAPI curriculum and community history. This year's celebration is especially meaningful as we celebrate America 250 | Greenwich.  By elevating stories that have been historically overlooked, MSOF contributes to America 250’s call to “tell inclusive stories” so that all residents can see themselves reflected in the nation’s past and future.

Join us in honoring the students’ work and the families who shared their stories. The student presentation will be followed by a reception with food and drink.
