My Story, Our Future Celebration and Exhibition Opening

India Cultural Center, alongside the Greenwich Historical Society and UConn’s Asian and Asian American Studies Institute, invite you to the opening reception of the fourth annual ‘My Story, Our Future Celebration and Exhibition Opening.'

Launched in 2022 to support Connecticut’s newly mandated K-12 AAPI curriculum, My Story, Our Future (MSOF) aims to raise awareness of the significant contributions of South Asian Americans in CT, as well as the specific challenges and achievements their immigrant families encountered while integrating into the U.S. To date, 44 teens across four cohorts have participated in oral history training and a curatorial workshop, resulting in over fifty interviews published on Spotify and an annual student-led exhibition of family artifacts for public viewing hosted at Greenwich Historical Society.
