"Six Days in Bombay" with Alka Joshi

International best-selling author, Alka Joshi, is coming to ICC and New Canaan Library to talk about her latest book Six Days in Bombay. Inspired by the mysterious death of the Hungarian-Indian painter Amrita Sher-Gil, Six Days in Bombay, is a sweeping historical novel that takes the reader to Prague, Paris, Florence, and London during the 1930's. Alka will talk about what motivated her to reimagine the story of Amrita Sher-Gil and her extensive research to capture the European cities as they were in Sher-Gil's time.

Copies of Six Days in Bombay and the Jaipur Trilogy (The Henna Artist, The Secret Keeper of Jaipur, and The Perfumist of Paris) will be available for purchase and signing through Elm Street Books.
